Watch: Jasprit Bumrah And His Mother Share The Struggle They Both Faced

The yorker King Jasprit Bumrah is the no.1 ODI bowler. Currently, he is not playing in the Indian team because of the minor stress fracture in the lower back. On Wednesday (9th October), shared the video of the player on the twitter handle. In a short video, the player’s journey is shown and his mother shares the struggle of the player.


Jasprit Bumrah, who made his debut in the Indian Test team last year, has impressed through his recent performance. In total, he has played  12 Test matches and taken 62 wickets. In 2016, he made the debut in limited-overs cricket. He has picked 103 wickets in 58 ODIs and picked 51 wickets in 42 T20Is.

His mother Daljit Bumrah is very happy with the player and his success. She gets emotional while sharing the story of struggle.

“When he was five-year-old, I lost my husband,” recalled fast bowler’s mother Daljit Bumrah.

“After that, we couldn’t afford anything,” Bumrah commented, “I had one pair of shoes. I used to have one pair of T-shirts. I used to wash them every day and use it again and again.”

Jasprit Bumrah, in a short time, has achieved great heights. He is the gem of the Indian team and has proved to be the dangerous bowler.

“So, as a child, you know you hear stories that sometimes these things happen that some people come and watch you and you get picked up like this. But it actually happened,” the 25-year-old pacer added.

“The first time when I saw him in that IPL match on TV, I couldn’t stop crying. He has seen me struggle financially and physically also,” His mother said.

Jasprit said, “All these tough times make you strong because you’ve seen tougher days before.”

Jasprit currently has gone to England for the check-up and is likely to miss the recent home series. India next assignment is with Bangladesh scheduled in this November.
