Vitality T20 Blast, 2019: DUR vs YOR
The North Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Durham and Yorkshire Vikings at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.
The match starts at 6:30 PM local time (11:00 PM IST) (5:30 PM GMT).
This game will be live-streamed by Durham County Cricket Club on YouTube.
Yorkshire, the team at the bottom of the North Group, will tour Chester-le-Street to face Durham on Friday. Only six out of ten matches of the Yorkshire ended with a result. However, they managed to win only one of those six matches and they ended up on the losing side in another four. The game against Warwickshire ended in a Tie which should have been a win in their tally.
They do have an outside chance to qualify to the quarters if they win all their remaining four matches. Only one team has more than 12 points in the North Group at the moment. Durham, on the other hand, spilled two points before the County break. They fell three runs short of Worcestershire’s total of 117 in the home match. With 10 points from 11 matches, they need at least two more wins for a QF spot.
Thursday was quite cloudy in Chester-le-Street but clear skies are expected for Friday. Less than five percent of chances of rain is expected during the match timings. There could be a bit of rain in the night but only after the completion of the match.
The Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street is a low scoring venue as scoring 150+ is also tough for the teams batting first. Even the totals under 140 can be defendable here. In the previous match at this venue, Worcestershire won by three runs defending their total of 117 against the hosts.
Average first innings score: 144 (Last eight completed T20 Blast matches)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 3, Lost – 5
