Teddy Walton Releases 'Mental Health' Short Film Trailer Featuring Narration From Lil B: Premiere
Teddy Walton has made a name for himself in hip-hop for his high-profile collaborations as a producer, but the Memphis native is ready to jump over to the other side and show off his creative versatility as an artist. In addition to putting the finishing touches on his star-studded debut album, Walton will also be releasing his Mental Health short film in the coming weeks.
The 26-year-old is sharing a first-look at his passion project with the Mental Health trailer via Billboard amidst Mental Health Awareness Day today (Oct. 11). The minute-long clip finds Lil B providing some motivational insight to his life's journey as the teaser's narrator.
"Everybody that be dealing with the new, the past, the future. Sometimes we can be overworked. Spinning, forgetting, but we got to stick to the mission. Like I said, 'Man, we really do this.' Shout-out to Teddy," the Based God states over an intoxicating Blood Orange sample.
The "Love" producer actually co-directed the flick alongside all-around creative Lee Vuitton; Walton implemented a vintage VHS tape cover for the pic's artwork. "Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs. Don't let money make you. Self love. Choose wisely. Value time. Keep god first. look for something positive each day. One day at a time," the back cover reads.
