Tucker on 'Youth Wing of Dem Party': Clinton, Media Deny Prominence of 'Shock Troops' Protesters

Fox News 2018-10-10 06:59:48

Tucker Carlson said Tuesday that Hillary Clinton and the Washington Post appear to be denying the prominence of what he called the "shock troops" that make up the "youth wing of the Democratic Party."

He played video of New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker telling an audience to "go to [Capitol] Hill today. Get up and [get] in the face of the Congresspeople."

"The left always obeys," he said, reminding viewers of the viral video of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urging people to confront political opponents.

"Obedience is part of their program," he said.

Carlson said the Washington Post reported in a way to downplay the prominence of mobs like those who converged on Capitol Hill, confronted DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in restaurants, as protesters instead being "recast" by the Republican Party as mobs.

"Getting yelled at by rich white kids and not liking it is racist," he added, characterizing part of the Post story.

He noted how Sen. Rand Paul's (R-Ky.) wife, Kelley Paul, told the media she now sleeps with a gun within reach while anti-Republican rhetoric and violence heats up.

Mrs. Paul blasted liberal celebrities like Cher and Bette Midler for "lauding [Rand's] attacker." "What kind of person are you?" she said.

Carlson said the reaction of the Post and others to the mob violence is troubling.
