Charlotte & Becky Lynch picked up huge win on Smackdown
Women’s championship picture changed entirely on last week’s Smackdown. Initially believed one-on-one match became a triple threat for Summerslam. The most decorated champion of this generation entered the fray to give a new complexion to it. It also created a rift between the two best friends on Smackdown.
Becky Lynch was the original contender for the Smackdown women’s title. She defeated Carmella in a non-title match to get the opportunity at Summerslam. It was after almost one and a half year later she got a singles contest for the championship. Considered good times for her came to an end, real quick.
Charlotte Flair returned to Smackdown Live last week. She initially was out there to save Becky Lynch from a beatdown by Carmella. But later Paige handed her a non-title match against the champion. Winning the match, she solidified her spot at Summerslam 2018.
It did not make Becky Lynch happy at all. One of the much anticipated moments of her career got ruined just like that. She had to team up with Charlotte Flair in a such a difficult situation. We wondered whether they could get along. So they had a reconciling session of their own before the match started.
The IIconics went on to blast Charlotte and Becky Lynch with their usual taunting comments before the match began. Billie Kay and Becky Lynch started the match with the usual lock up. The match really picked up the pace when Charlotte entered the match. She entered hitting some quick moves. But then the heels tried to slow down their offense. Charlotte and Peyton hit big boots to get down at one point.
Becky Lynch re-entered the Smackdown match to come up with flying elbows and uppercuts. Becky failed to get the pinfall and tagged back to Charlotte. She executed a perfect moonsault off the top rope to take both the heel down. After that, the second generation superstar lock in the Figure Eight to pick up the win.

We expected that things might go worse between Charlotte and Becky Lynch once the match ended. But they continue to remain on the same page.
Carmella was present at the commentary table but did not dare to interfere in between these two. Instead, she stood on the commentary table to give pose with the championship.
