DC reviews pace of execution of projects in East Singhbhum
Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar directed the officials of various departments to expedite the execution of all Central and state government projects. He asked the authorities to focus on providing basic civic amenities to the people and ensure quality work involving public utilities.
Addressing a review meeting on Tuesday, Kumar said several schools, community centres, hostel and an Ayurvedic health centre are to be built across the district. At Dhatkidih in Jamshedpur, a hostel for minority students will be constructed. At Arjunbera in Gudabanda, an ashram school is to be established along with a training centre. Solar lights are to be installed in Ghatsila, Potka and Patamada, said the DC, adding further that a primary school for SC and ST students will be built in Chakulia.
The DC was informed that a new Eklavya Model Residential School is being constructed in Baharagora, Jamshedpur. A rural hospital is being repaired in Banmakri of Baharagora. A 50 bedded rural hospital is being constructed in Dhalbhumgarh, the DC said while asking the officials to complete the construction work as soon as possible.
Kumar asked all block education officers to make scholarships available to students by sending the amount to the banks. The bank accounts of the beneficiaries should be opened by 30th June, he said.
Kumar later sought a report on the various tribal religious and burial places in the city situated on forest land. Community forest lease would be issued in such cases after holding a Gram Sabha, he said.
The DC said all under-construction Dhumkuria Houses of the district would be inaugurated on 30th June. He further said that five schools of the district would be provided sports kits.
The review meeting was also attended by DDC B Maheshwari, District Superintendent of Education Banke Bihari and District Education Officer Rajkumar Singh.
